Beyond The Border, St Donatrs Arts Centre
Stage Lighting Services were contracted as the main technical supplier to Beyond the Border, Wales’s International Storytelling Festival. Beyond the Border is managed and promoted by St Donats Arts Centre and takes place in the grounds of the United World College of The Atlantic.
The festival comprised of over 80 performances, taking place in seven venues, the majority in marquees and big tops and attracted approximately 2500 people over the weekend.
Stage Lighting Services, provided all the lighting and staging equipment for the performance venues as well as temporary power distribution, site lighting and architectural lighting used around the castle and ground. SLS staff were also on site to complete the build of the staging and installation of the lighting equipment.
In addition, the Festival provides a large temporary campsite for the visitors and SLS provided all the temporary mains power distribution to operate all the toilet, shower and offices located on the campsite.

Stage Lighting Services sister company, Stage Sound Services provided all the PA requirements for the events along with three sound engineers to operate the performances.
Rhuddlan Castle Rocks
Stage Lighting Services have recently supplied our Outdoor Canopy Milos MR1 roof System along with Lighting and general rigging for Rhuddlan Castle Rocks in North Wales
The Milos MR1 roof System is a 10m x 6m canopy stage. This is ideal for the medium size outdoor stage for a performance or presentation. The useful stage area is approximately 24’ x 20’ (7.3m x 6m).The canopy is freestanding and is 4.95m high in the middle of the arched roof. The stage is approx 3’ high and has a black skirt around and a set of treads up to it.
WOW on the waterfront Main stage
Stage Lighting Services have recently supplied our Outdoor Canopy Milos MR1 roof System along with extra Steeldeck staging for Cardiff Councils WOW on the waterfront event in the Cardiff Oval Basin
The Milos MR1 roof System is a 10m x 6m outdoor canopy stage. This is an ideal medium size outdoor stage for a performance or presentation. The useful stage area is approximately 24’ x 20’ (7.3m x 6m). The canopy is freestanding and is 4.95m high in the middle of the arched roof. His Majesty’s Theatre Aberdeen Hire a Glaciator X-Stream
Stage Lighting Services Ltd Cardiff, have recently been awarded another contract to supply a Jem Glaciator X Stream to His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen for 6 Weeks, for their next production of “Silver Darlings”.
